Find a compatible device

Once you have a compatible device for your child under 13, you can create a Google Account for them that’s managed with Family Link.

For children
Children can run Family Link on Android devices running version 7.0 (Nougat) and higher. Devices running Android versions 5.0 and 6.0 (Lollipop and Marshmallow) may also be able to run Family Link. To find out more, see our Help Center.
For parents
Parents can run Family Link on Android devices running versions 4.4 (Kit Kat) and higher, and iPhones running iOS9 and higher.

Check which version of Android you're running

1. Open the Settings app on your Android device.

2. Scroll to the bottom.

3. Tap About phone or About tablet to see your version number.

All set? Get the app.

Download Family Link to your device so you can stay in the loop as your child explores.
