A mode for children with content to help them discover, create and grow, available on select Android tablets.*

Designed with children’s curiosity in mind

Whether it’s animals or art projects, children become little experts on the things that they love. That’s why Kids Space recommends quality content for your child based on interests that they choose. With recommended content, children can explore their latest fascinations in new and engaging ways. Children can even customise their experience by creating their own character.

When a child opens Kids Space, they'll see a library of quality content. Children can see recommendations for apps, games, books and videos to find new ways to play and learn.†

Play

Expert Approved apps and games

Kids Space comes with apps and games from Google Play that have been approved by children’s education and media specialists. We worked with expert advisors led by Joe Blatt (Harvard University Graduate School of Education) and Sandra Calvert (Georgetown University) to help to define which apps we recommend. These apps are age-appropriate, thoughtfully designed, and fun and engaging.

Kids Space recommends videos from YouTube Kids that are creative and fun. Whether they want to learn, sing or laugh, children can explore videos about the topics and characters that they love.

In the Make tab, children can get inspired to create, discover and practice their skills with recommended videos from YouTube Kids about everything from simple drawing activities to silly science projects.

For parents who want more flexibility beyond content recommended by Kids Space, they can add more apps, games and books from the Google Play Store through the parents’ menu.
